Meet M. Lisa Forner, MA

M. Lisa Forner, MA is a champion of effective written communication. As a proven professional, she is known for her down-to-earth, interactive teaching style; sharp editing eye; and focus on her clients’ bottom lines.

Lisa developed 360 Writing Tools after more than 20 years in the workforce, often in editing and training positions in a variety of environments, from corporate and government to non-profit and education. She has more than 15 years of experience editing

business and technical documents,
marketing materials,
consumer magazines,
scholarly journals,
non-fiction, and

Lisa is also an internationally published author of numerous articles and a book.

Lisa is expert at substantive editing, proofreading, and copyediting, and collaborates well with writers, graphic designers, and vendors. At the same time, her passion as an adult educator and presenter has led her to teach in university, community, and business settings, offering on-going classes, workshops, and seminars. Since 1990 she’s been conducting trainings on topics ranging from Effective Writing Skills to Time Management and Organization to Cultural Arts and Humanities.

Lisa has provided these services at places such as the Library of Congress, UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management, and the University of Phoenix. Additionally, she had a successful private practice for five years coaching business owners to improve their communication skills, planning strategies, and processes and procedures.

Recently at Coe & Van Loo Consultants, Inc., in Phoenix, Arizona, Lisa edited many proposals, master plans, engineering reports, and submittal documents. In addition, she developed a company-wide style guide and conducted training classes on effective business and technical writing skills. She now offers her well-rounded skills to other companies to help them produce more effective documents through her unique 360 Writing Tools program.

Lisa holds a BA in Communications from The Pennsylvania State University, an MA in Dance Ethnology from UCLA, and has received additional training and certifications.
